The new year is upon us
My brain is buzzing
I feel the words flooding in my mind
A dam about to burst
Where to find the time to write
This life is busy
Throwing itself in my way
Creating more work, more responsibility,
More opportunities I can't pass up.
Obligations keep me from my keyboard
Necessity and compulsion carve out their slots
Water through clay
Leaving little of the bank
I must, I will find it
I will forge on, resolute
Finding time for passions between obligations
I can't not write
It is in me, and must come out
